‘Digital is the future’, we have been hearing this since Netflix gained popularity and started giving competition to theatrical business. By the end of last year, Pakistan, just like other countries joining the bandwagon, heard the first call for this digital world with webseries “Enaaya” for an international platform. We, since then have heard multiple announcements of projects for digital medium that include web series, films for digital release and now mini web series.

Just yesterday we got to witness the first look poster of an upcoming indie project, titled “Chaal”. Tackling the genres of mystery and crime thriller, “Chaal” is a mini web series and would mark directorial debut of recently launched actor Hamza Firdous. Script is penned by Maahir Kamal and cast includes Nouman Masood, Maahir Kamal, Firdous Jamal and Hamza himself along with some prominent female actors which are yet to be finalized.
