Eid is always supposed to bring footfalls to cinemas and second day of Eid is particularly the most profit generating day for movie business among all Eid holidays as it ideally always witness a rise in cinema business after a slightly dull Eid Day 1. This year too, just like every other year, saw an upward trend of local movie’s business on Day 2 but what makes this Eid’s second day different from previous Eids, is that both local competitor movies raked in huge numbers equally.
Both local movies, “Chhalawa” and “Wrong No. 2”, cumulatively generated approximately 4.8 crores and this doesn’t include the numbers of three Hollywood releases which are released nationwide this Eid beside these two Pakistani films.

“Chhalawa” raked in 2.5 crores on Eid Day 2, taking the two day total to 4 crores approximately. “Wrong No. 2” earned 2.3 crores on Eid Day 2, and with that its two day total now stands at 3.9 crores.
With Reviews of “Wrong No.2” appearing to be better than “Chhalawa”, and the later on the other hand having a slight lead of 10 lac at box-office, it will be interesting to see which one leads the extended five day weekend gross and then the ultimate race of highest lifetime.
