Box Office: ‘Wrong No. 2’ Bites into Rs. 150 Million in Pakistan

Yasir Nawaz’s directed “Wrong No. 2” is a joint venture of YNH Films and Distributions Club, the later also served as distributer for film. In the absence of Indian content, “Wrong No. 2” was the only tentpole film for Distribution Club for the year and the film has not just lived up to its pre release box office expectations but has rather proved a records smasher.

Film launched at box office with 11.05 crores on Extended Eid weekend. The Sami Khan and Neelam Muneer starrer then continued its money spinning parade during the weekdays and on the following weekend by raking in 2.73 crore and 1.88 crore respectively.

Film saw a clear dip on Sunday due to the much anticipated ICC world cup India vs Pakistan cricket match as film could collect 47 lacs only.

“Wrong No. 2” has crossed the Rs. 150 million milestone at local box office on Sunday and its total collections of twelve days from Pakistan now stand at Rs. 15.6 crores. Film right now is the highest grossing Pakistani film of the year so far and is only the second highest at Pakistani box office overall with “Avengers: Endgame” leading the chart.

“Wrong No. 2” also emerged as the highest earning film of YNH Films as the film has already surpassed the lifetime business of “Wrong No.” and “Mehrunisa V Lub U”. Now will the film be able to cross the 200 million mark? Remains to be seen.
