Second Week of November Brings New Hollywood Releases

The second week of November may prove more fruitful than the last with 3 Hollywood flicks coming in. Here’s what you can watch on the big screen this week.

Doctor Sleep

The most anticipated of the three new releases for sure is “Doctor Sleep”. This is a sequel to the highly celebrated horror film, “The Shining”. It follows the life of Daniel Torrance decades after the horrific incidents at an abandoned hotel. Horror buffs can look forward to this adaptation of Stephen King’s book not just because it’s a sequel to an iconic film, but because King himself has sung its praises.

“Doctor Sleep” stars Ewan McGregor and Rebecca Ferguson and it hits theaters this Friday, 8th November.

Midway

“Midway” is a good old fashioned WWII film. It features a huge cast of recognizable Hollywood veterans and new blood. Starring Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Mandy Moore, Aaron Eckhart, Nick Jonas, Woody Harrelson, and Dennis Quaid, the film recounts the battle of Midway. It was a decisive battle against the Japanese forces which occurred after the devastating attack of Pearl Harbor.

If you’re a war movie fan, you might like to see this one. It hits theaters Friday, November 8th.

Shakira in Concert: El Dorado World Tour

This one is definitely for the Shakira fans out there. It’s a concert film about Shakira’s highly successful tour which celebrated the eponymous album. The concert lasted for over 50 shows and took in $75 million.

If you’re a Shakira fan then this one’s for you. Catch it in selective theatres theaters on Wednesday, November 13th.

Holdover Releases

“Durj”, “Kaaf Kangana”, “Maleficent”, and “Terminator Dark Fate” are still running in theaters. You can catch all of them this weekend. However, if you have your heart set on seeing them in theaters catch them as soon as possible. They might not be in theaters for much longer.
