Ahsan Khan has been roped in to play the lead in Yasir Nawaz’s next film Chakkar. In an interview with Dawn News Ahsan revealed that he had been the director’s first choice for the role. Describing his character Kabir as a “goody goody romantic guy”, Ahsan said that the film’s script seemed very interesting to him. He became a fan of Yasir Nawaz due to Wrong No. 2. Also, Chakkar’s central theme being that of a thriller mixed with comedy enticed him.
Feroze Khan was earlier said to be doing the lead in the project, but in a turn of events the project has finally landed in Ahsan’s lap. Its pertinent to add here that Mawra Hocane was earlier announced to be leading lady in the project however with the male lead already seeing many reshuffles we wonder if Mawra makes it to the final cast of the movie.
The film doesn’t have a release date yet, though rumours of an Eid release are circulating.
