After the success of ‘The Donkey King’ in China, ‘Allahyar and the Legend of Markhor’ is now the latest offering from Pakistan. Film has been released on Saturday on December 25 in theatres across China and is off to a decent start. Film remained on 11th spot on the Chinese box office chart.
‘Allahyar’ managed to generate a business of $57k (1.03 crore PKR) on its opening day. On Sunday film raked in $44k (80 lacs PKR), taking its two days aggregate to $101k (1.83 crore PKR). Although these numbers are not great if compared with that of ‘The Donkey King’ but for a Pakistani animated film that releases four years late, these numbers are pretty decent.
