Director Abu Aleeha’s next film “Tevar” has finally been given a release date. “Tevar” was Abu Aleeha’s first film, way before he conceived the idea of making the psychological-horror “Kataksha”. The film went on the floors with the working title “Arifa” but later due to some unforeseen reasons, the film faced delays in release and the maker jumped on to his next project without wasting any time.
About Cast
“Tevar” is labelled a revenge thriller with the story set in the 80’s. The film stars Sukynah Khan as the lead actress whose TV serial “Jaal” from HUM TV, is currently on air and gaining massive popularity. The film’s cast also includes names like Mathira, Taqi Ahmed, Sharique Mehmood and Akber Subhani.
On Budget
The film was made on a limited budget of 7.5 million. It is quite surprising for a period drama thriller to be made for such a small budget and we will have to wait for the trailer to get an idea how the maker has managed to pull off this project with the given budget. Here we also remind you that Abu Aleeha’s previous release “Kataksha” was also made with a budget of 9.6 million rupees and that film has apparently proved to be profitable for the maker.
“Tevar” is releasing in cinemas across Pakistan on July 26.
