Meera and Amna Ilyas starrer “Baaji” has been doing wonders at box office. Film, as expected was launched to a decent opening but with rave reviews and good word of mouth, film has shown a tremendous hold at ticket windows by generating the biggest business in second week among this year’s Pakistani films, leaving behind the second week gross of films like “Sher Dil”, “Wrong No 2” and “Chhalawa”.
Film has raked in a whopping 9.1 crore by its third Monday and is performing tremendously well even on the week days of third week and is anticipated to cross 10 crore mark this coming weekend. This, just like last year’s “Teefa in Trouble” and “The Donkey King” has further cemented the fact that if a film has a strong content, it will ultimately make its place in the market without the need of releasing on Eid.
Weekly Breakdown:
Film launched to 4.5 crore on first week, followed by 3 crore in second week and 1.4 crore in its third weekend. Here’s an estimated breakdown by Entertainment Pakistan of film’s earnings so far:
First Week: 4.5 crore
Second Week: 3 crore
Third Weekend: 1.4 crore
Third Monday: 23 lacs
Total so far: 9.13 crore
