The ‘Qaatil Haseenaon Ke Naam’ Trailer is Dark, Violent, And a Riot To Watch!

Pakistani web-series walked down the film-noire alley, that too with quite a few fireworks, in last year’s ‘Churails’. Well, Zee5’s upcoming ‘Qaatil Haseenaon Ke Naam’ seems to take take the proverbial fuse off the explosive genre, bringing forth the stories of seven women on an unapologetic mission for revenge. And this time around, there might be a fantastical twist thrown in for a good measure.

The very talented Meenu Gaur and Farjad Nabi helm this ‘chronicle of love, of betrayal, written in blood’ which features the whole constellation of talent that makes Pakistani film and television so rich and worth watching. Sanam Saeed, Eman Suleiman, Beo Rana Zafar, Sarwat Gilani, Samiya Mumtaz, Mehar Bano, and Faiza Gillani will be leading the proceedings — although we also caught glimpses of Sheharyar Munawar and Ahsan Khan in the trailer.

This ‘fiery tale’ — and not a fairy tale, as the trailer puts it — seems to span quite a few eras and seemingly has a supernatural angle to it. That would not be surprising given Meenu and Farjad’s last outing, the very well-made ‘7 Din Mohabbat In’ revolved around an otherwordly theme, too. The show’s women-on-revenge theme coupled with the dark, gory treatment also gave us some rather ‘American Horror Story’ like vibes, which we have to say, is a definite plus.

For all those who want to sample more of Pakistani entertainment beyond the regular television shows and masala films, this just might be that avant-garde slice of dolce-vita that you have been waiting for. Or as Meenu and Farjad have one of the show’s characters say — “I want this to be my piece-de-resistance,” and that is what they would want the show to end up being for the audience.

‘Qaatil Haseenaon Ke Naam’ releases on December 10 on the streaming platform Zee5. Let us know what you think of the trailer in the comments below!
