“The Donkey King” Off to Flying Start At Chinese Box Office

After generating a huge sum of 24.5 crores at domestic box office, “The Donkey King” has managed decent numbers at international markets like Turkey, Spain, Greece, South Korea and Russia to name a few.

The Aziz Jindani directorial has opened on Friday across China with more than 5000 shows. Film had a decent start at Chinese box office with $30,000 (PKR 53.10 lacs) finishing at 9th spot on Chinese Box office top ten movies’ chart. The film then climbed to 7th spot on Saturday by collecting $290,000 (PKR 5.13 crores). The huge jump on Saturday was then maintained as the film generated the same amount on Sunday, taking the total tally of three days to $610,000 (PKR 10.79 crores).

This certainly is a moment of celebration for the Pakistani film industry and a hope for other Pakistani producers to expect a good business opportunity in China provided good content.
