Pakistani films have not yet carved a place in international market, however, before covid-19, the industry had been able to release one or two films each year that were able to earn decent money in overseas markets. This Eid-ul-Azha, two of Pakistan’s much awaited films, “London Nahi Jaunga” and “Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad”, got a simultaneous worldwide release. Let’s have a look at how these films performed in overseas markets.
London Nahi Jaunga
The Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat starrer “LNJ” has lead the overseas box office with quite a margin, unlike the last overseas box office battle on Eid-ul-Azha 2019, when “Superstar” and “Parey Hut Love” registered almost similar numbers. Although the film couldn’t do as great in overseas as Humayun Saeed’s previous films before pandemic, however, it still managed to do decent business in six days as the film has minted more than 11 crores PKR till Wednesday from overseas. Here’s the breakdown of film’s overseas box office:
UK: 3.75 crore PKR
North America: 2.1 crore PKR
Australia: 70 lacs PKR
UAE: 2.75 crore PKR
Middle East (minus UAE): 80 lacs PKR
Norway: 45 lacs PKR
TOTAL (excluding Europe): 11+ crore PKR
Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad
The Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa starrer has opened to a great start at Pakistani box office, however, the film couldn’t make much impact in overseas markets. Here’s the breakdown of film’s six days collections from major overseas markets:

North America: 85 lacs PKR
Australia: 35 lacs PKR
