The Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan starrer film was scheduled to release in cinemas across Indian Punjab on December 30 by Zee Studios. However, the latest on the film is that it’s not releasing as per schedule. The release has been postponed without any announcement about the new release date.
About the decision of CBFC to put the release of film on hold, Bollywood Hungama writes “Zee Studios had already acquired a clearance for The Legend of Maula Jatt from the Central Board of Film Certification but on Monday CBFC recalled the film. It is not clear whether the censor certificate given to TLOMJ has been revoked. However, the release on December 30 has been put off indefinitely”.
This certainly is not a good news for Fawad’s and Mahira’s fans from across the border who have been waiting for the film to release in India since it got worldwide release in October. Directed by Bilal Lashari, the Punjabi action saga has already grossed more than 10 million USD worldwide and is about to hit 100 crore mark in Pakistan. Keep visiting this space for updates.
