Are you a fan of Fawad Khan, eagerly awaiting his return to the TV screen? You’re in for a treat. The actor is gearing up to star in an international project called ‘Shandur,’ which is currently the working title for the series.
According to Amna Haider Isani of Something Haute, ‘Shandur’ will feature Fawad Khan, Sanam Saeed, Hira Khan and Mikaal Zulfiqar. Khan portrays an elegant Chitrali Nawab with a passion for playing polo. Directed by Asim Raza and written by Umera Ahmed, the series will stream on the Indian OTT platform Sony LIV. The high-budget series is being filmed in the UK and various locations across Pakistan. Misbah Shafiq, who has previously produced many Zee5 projects, is leading the production team.
For the unversed, Asim Raza and Umera Ahmed have previously collaborated together in ‘Behadd’ starring Fawad Khan, Nadia Jamil and Sajal Aly. Interestingly ‘Shandur’ will also mark the third international collaboration of Sanam and Fawad. The first two are ‘Barzakh’ and ‘Jo Bache Hain Sang Samait Lo’.
Fawad Khan is one actor who has a special place in the hearts of local and international viewers. From ‘Humsafar’ to ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’, the actor has carved his own niche by playing unique characters. His Bollywood debut ‘Khoobsurat’, followed by hits like ‘Kapoor and Sons’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ gained him widespread popularity in India. Therefore viewers in India would be excited to witness their favorite star once again. Now it remains to be seen whether Pakistani viewers will be able to watch ‘Shandur’? Let’s wait and watch.
