After a three-year hiatus, Shaan Shahid is set to make a big comeback to cinema screens with multiple projects, including a Punjabi action film titled “Bullah”, alongside Sara Loren.
The film, penned by Nasir Adeeb, writer of “Maula Jatt”, and directed by Shoaib Khan, known for his debut film “Jackpot” (2018), is currently being shot at Bari Studios in Lahore. The first phase of production is wrapping up in a couple of days.
Speaking to Pakistani Cinema, Shoaib shared his vision for the project, stating, “The film is like the rebirth of Punjabi Sufi saint and poet Bulleh Shah in the modern world through the protagonist Bullah, played by Shaan Shahid. I’m hoping to make an impact through this film – to make even one soul watching the film feel a shift, a question, or a spark within. Bullah is a mirror, and I just hope people see their own truth in it.”
Shaan Shahid’s last appearance was in his directorial film “Zarrar” (2022), while Sara Loren was last seen in Mohib Mirza’s “Ishrat: Made in China” (2022). The film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Saleem Sheikh, Naeema Butt, Adnan Butt, Ali Josh, and Mahum Mirza.
“Bullah” is being produced by Shaky Films and is slated for release in 2026.
