Mohib Mirza’s Ishrat to Feature VFX, Significant Part to be Shot in China

Mohib Mirza unveiled the first look of his underproduction directorial venture “Ishrat: Made in China” that features the “Bachaana” star alongside Sanam Saeed, Shamoon Abbasi and Sara Loren, with ace designer Hassan Shehryar Yaseen (HSY) billed as the villain.

Based on the slapstick television series “Ishrat Baji” from 2006, which aired on the now defunct AAG TV, the movie will showcase the same brand of tongue in cheek comedy with the twist of cutting edge action sequences and thrills.

Some Major Takeaways from a Filmy 2018

We have also learnt from a reliable source that the film will rely on extensive visual effects, and that its significant portion will be shot in China – which given the heavy Chinese symbolism in the poster is hardly a surprise.

Given the action-comedy theme and the Chinese connection of his directorial debut, we expect Mohib to also feature some martial arts sequences.

The film makers are aiming to release “Ishrat: Made in China” in the Chinese market, too. The film is currently on floors in Karachi where reports are by and large positive.

Teaser of ‘Doda’, the First Baluchi Movie in over 40 years is Launched

It may be mentioned that Mohib Mirza had been planning the project for the last few years now, and when the film was not making headway, he had planned resurrecting his pet project as a web-series. It seems everything has fallen in place for the project to be green-lit.

The action-comedy genre has been quite successful in Pakistan, with Ali Zafars “Teefa in Trouble” being the last project from the genre that raked in good moolah at the box-office. We are sure with “Ishrat: Made in China” Mohib has an ace up his sleeve, and we wish him and his team all the best!
