Yasir Nawaz’s “Wrong Number 2”, with its theatrical earnings alone, turned out to be the most profitable flick of the year. With such a huge success this year, it was natural for us to expect him to gear up for his next. Recently entertainment website, Epk, broke the news of Yasir’s next project with Feroze Khan and Mawra Hocane in lead roles. We, therefore, got ahold of Yasir to find out if the news is true.
Speaking to Pakistani Cinema, Yasir confirmed that both Mawra Hocane and Feroze Khan have been signed for the project. He also revealed that he himself will be playing one of the lead roles.
This will be Yasir’s first film that he will be producing outside the banner of YNH productions, a company that was found in 2015 by Yasir, Nida and Hassan Zia and produced three films, “Wrong Number”, “Mehrunisa V Lub U” and “Wrong No. 2”. Hassan and Yasir parted their ways post “Wrong No. 2”.
This film will be produced ny Nida Yasir and Yasir Nawaz and will be directed by Yasir himself. About script, story of the film is by Yasir while dialogues are penned by Zafar Imran and screenplay is written by both Yasir and Zafar. Talking about the genre, Yasir said:
“It’s a thriller but not a dark one as we will execute it in a light and entertaining manner.”
Film will go on floors in January with a one spell schedule that will be entirely shot in Karachi. The yet untitled film is expected to release on or around Eid-ul-Fitr.
