Filmmaker Wajahat Rauf has a pretty solid record when it comes to delivering box office successes — his last 3 films have performed quite well. Will he manage to extend the winning streak with his upcoming film “Parde Mein Rehne Do”?
Well, if the teaser is anything to go by, it is safe to say that Rauf has once again managed to recreate his winning combination of a colorful, lighthearted narrative — this time with a social theme, too. Ali Rehman Khan and Hania Amir will be playing two newlyweds in the film, and we are shown portions of their marital bliss following the nuptial formalities as they journey around in picturesque locales, possibly on their honeymoon. There’s even a clip of the groovy Punjabi number ‘Tere utte peela rang suit karda’ splashed into the teaser, to which the duo will be seen shaking a leg to. However, “Parde Mein Rehne Do” is a socially themed film, and the teaser also provides a peek into the more serious aspects of the storyline. From the looks of it, the film seems to touch on the doxxing of intimate photographs/videos problem that happens to be one of the headaches of living in a social media crazy world. This issue will be affecting the lives of PMRD’s two leads and is likely to contribute towards making the film’s storyline more engaging and relevant.
“Parde Mein Rehne Do” will be Hania Amir’s first major outing following the 2018 hit “Parwaaz Hai Junoon“.’ This teaser clip should resonate pretty well with her fanbase as she looks quite the star opposite Ali Rehman Khan, who is not too far behind as far as on-screen charisma is concerned.
