Pakistani Horror film ‘In Flames’ is making waves at Cannes after screening at Director’s Fortnight. The film is the first from Pakistan to be screened at the Directors Fortnight since ‘The Blood of Hussain’ by Jamil Dehlavi in 1980.
‘In Flames’ is particularly being praised for its performances including that of Adnan Shah Tipu who rose to fame in the comedy series ‘Sab Set Hai’ from the early 2000s. Adnan and the team of film received standing ovation after the screening of their film.
Other performers include Rameesha Nawal, Bakhtawar Mazhar and Omar Javaid. In Flames is about a mother and daughter who’s lives are thrown into turmoil after their past resurfaces.
