‘Umro Ayyar: A New Beginning’ has been in the works for quite some time now. The Usman Mukhtar starrer and Azfar Jafri directorial finally has a teaser and it looks like a million bucks!
Umro Ayyar’s canvas is enhanced by its visual effects which have been executed incredibly well keeping in mind the budget. The production looks extremely professional and balances the line between practical and visual effects to give us a feast for the senses.
I won’t reveal anything about it beyond that it has brought something from a quintessentially Pakistani childhood to the big screen. This is a fresh adaptation with no small or big screen version to draw from. I’m waiting with bated breath to see the Sulaimani Chaadar, the Zanbeel, the Jinns, the Jaadugars and the Tilismaat.
The film has a huge star cast including Sanam Saeed, Manzar Sahbai, Faran Tahir, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Adnan Siddiqui, Sana Nawaz, Ali Kazmi and many more. You can watch the teaser here:
