Actor Diljit Dosanjh’s rom-com ‘Jatt and Juliet 3’ is currently on a rampage at the Pakistani box office. According to EPK, the film holds well by the end of 3rd weekend and collects a whopping PKR 16+ crores and is now eyeing the lifetime business of ‘Carry On Jatta 3’ which is currently the highest grossing Indian Punjabi film in Pakistan.
‘Jatt and Juliet 3’ was released in Pakistan on June 27, exactly ten days later than the festive releases ‘Na Baligh Afraad’ ‘Umro Ayyar’ and ‘Abhi’. Surprisingly, Diljit’s film has surpassed the combined gross of all these local releases. The gross collections of ‘Umro Ayyar’ were decent with 10.78 crores in two weeks.
Back home in India, the film started slowly but picked up later. It collected 35.11 crores (grossing around 41.42 crores) becoming the second-biggest Punjabi grosser at the domestic box office.
The film has emerged as a triumph overseas with an estimated gross of 53 crores+. This takes the worldwide total to a whopping 94.42 crores. However, ‘Jatt and Juliet 3’ trails with the lifetime collections of ‘Carry On Jatta 3’.
