Films like Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, Actor In Law, Punjab Nahi Jaungi, Load Wedding and London Nahi Jaunga have been instrumental in bringing back audiences to theatres. To do so, her TV career took a back seat. Her last prominent drama serial was ‘Dil Lagi’ in 2016. However, she did feature in a telefilm ‘Ijazat’ with Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY) in 2023.

We at Pakistani Cinema reveal this exclusive news that Mehwish Hayat picks Geo Entertainment’s next drama serial as her grand comeback on TV. She will be seen sharing screen with her “Meray Qatil Meray Dildaar” co-star, Ahsan Khan.
Produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi under their production company 7th Sky Entertainment, the serial will be directed by “Tere Bin” director Siraj ul Haq. The lead cast has shot a photoshoot for the serial in Karachi on August 28. Filming of the serial will begin within next few days.
