‘Deemak’ Set to Release in Malaysia With a Grand Red Carpet Premiere in Kuala Lampur

Rafay Rashdi’s horror film ‘Deemak’ is set to release in Malaysia with its grand premiere in Kuala Lumpur. The film has already grossed over PKR 17.5 crore domestically, and recently released in the US/UK/Canada market. The movie has been a huge success and has brought forth the most successful horror film in Pakistan’s history.

The Kuala Lumpur premiere will be held at the TGV Cinema at the Petronas Twin Towers on Friday, October 31st, 2025. Faysal Qureshi and Sonya Hussyn, the two leads of the film will be in attendance.

The premiere will be a historic event as very few Pakistani films get international premieres. The release has been made possible by Javed Musa of ASEAN Media in collaboration with the Malaysian film distributor Suraya Filem.

For two years now, a rush of horror films has flooded cinemas in Pakistan, including ‘Sijjin’, ‘Waktu Maghrib’, ‘Final Destination: Bloodlines’, and of course, ‘Deemak’. A lot of them have done very well, with audiences packing theaters even at shows past midnight.

‘Deemak’ is Pakistan’s contribution to this horror renaissance and one hopes it will thrill audiences abroad as it has in its home country.
