Fizza Ali Meerza and Nabeel Qureshi have returned with a Zombie Action Thriller for Eid Ul Azha. The teaser is jam packed with money shots from flying helicopters, zombie hordes and riot police to gunshots, brawls and blood.
‘ZombEid’ looks like Fizza and Nabeel’s most polished film overall. The cinematography, action, sound design and tone is hyper stylized and every shot looks like it’s out of a comic book.
Even the make up looks on point. The zombies seem to be munching, tearing, and chewing on real human skin and muscles drenched in blood. If nothing else, the film’s production design department have delivered and then some.
Pakistan has made zombie films before, but none have been bona fide box office hits. Omar Ali Khan’s “ZibahKhana” and Abu Aleeha’s “Udham Patakh” have their fans, but both films failed to achieve mainstream success.
With “ZombEid”, this genre may find box office gold.
