“The Lion King” and “Ready, Steady, No” are doing well at the Pakistani box office. The former has almost reached the 15 crore milestone, while the latter has maintained a strong hold at the box office. As per the latest estimates by Entertainment Pakistan, “Ready, Steady, No!” has managed to rake in 1.25 crore at the local box office. It definitely fared much better than the horrendous “Sirf Tum Hi Tou Ho”, which was a wash out.
“Ready, Steady, No!” was always going to be a niche film for audiences, yet it’s held incredibly well at the box office. While the film’s clean comedy has managed to attract families and individuals alike, the film hasn’t exactly taken off. Still, its steady hold at the box office means that it will probably end it’s run below 2 crore at the most. And since it was clearly made on a low budget, it will hopefully make up its expenses and then some.
“The Lion King” has clearly cashed in on the nostalgia of the animated classic and made 14 crore at the Pakistani box office. Bringing in over 5.3 Cr in its second week, the Disney live-action adaptation has generated great footfalls. It will likely cross the 15 Cr mark this weekend and will continue on to the 20 crore mark after.
The release of “Hobbs and Shaw” this week will probably hamper its path to the 20 crore line though. It may just fizzle out at around 18 crore.
