This is surely a crunch time for Pakistan’s film industry as Bollywood content is now totally banned in the country which puts forth a real pressure on local filmmakers to create a enough content to fill the void and to turn this shortage of film releases into opportunities.
Under such crucial time, IMGC has recently announced to produce five movies in collaboration with different producers for the year 2020 and one of those is in collaboration with Khoosat Films.
After making a memorable film debut with the critically acclaimed and commercially successful “Manto”, the super combo of Sarmad Khoosat as director and Saba Qamar as actress have fasten their belts once again with their upcoming venture, titled “Kamli”. Saba Qamar is known for her exceptional acting skills and has proved it all the way with films like “Manto” and “Hindi Medium” and a never ending list of TV serials. “Kamli” will be Saba’s third Pakistani film after “Manto” (2015) and “Lahore Sey Agey” (2016). Saba was also seen in Azeem Sajjad’s film “8969” which the actress never owned.
With names like Saba Qamar and Sarmad Khoosat attached to this project, “Kamli” is definitely going to be a film to look out for. Besides this film, Distribution Club (IMGC) will also be releasing Sarmad Khoosat’s film “Zindagi Tamasha” in the last quarter of this year.
“Kamli” will release in cinemas next year.
