About a month ago, we updated you with the exclusive news of Saba Qamar starring in Sarmad Khoosat’s next, titled “Kamli”. The latest on the project is that the film has already gone on floors. Recently the lead actress of the film, Saba Qamar, shared the picture in her Insta story captioning ”Day four Kamli” suggesting the film is already on floors. As per our sources, the team is filming somewhere near Islamabad and there will be different spells of shooting in different regions across the country.
“Kamli” in Sarmad’s words is “A tragic love story at heart. The film is going to be a fresh mix of a rustic setting captured in a contemporary, universal sensibility”. Sarmad shared this in his recent interview with Variety. He further added, “Unlike other films of the genre, ‘Kamli’ is not only going to depict the vibrancy and humor of rural Punjab, but also its poetic lyricism and love-lore in an international film aesthetic.”
Starring Saba Qamar, Sania Saeed and debutante Hamza Khwaja in pivotal roles, “Kamli” is expected to release sometime in 2020 by Distribution Club.
