“Daal Chaawal”, the last weekend’s local title, released with no buzz and hence it was expected to fail at box office. However, as per estimates by Entertainment PK, film has raked in 52 lacs in 10 days of its release. This might sound like an insignificant collection but is actually quite better than what the trade had expected from the film before its release.
The other release from last weekend, “Joker”, is being warmly welcomed in local cinemas. Its insane buzz, rave reviews and roaring business in international markets has helped this DC Universe’s production to dominate the Pakistani cinemas even in second weekend. The overflow of this Hollywood rival has infact helped “Daal Chaawal” to rack up better totals than expected.
Acknowledging the sacrifices of Pakistan’s police force to battle out terrorism in the country, “Daal Chaawal” stars Momina Iqbal, Ahmed Sufyan, Shafqat Cheema and Salman Shahid.
