“Sorry: A Love Story” has been in development since October of 2018. According to a press release, the film would deal with “the ups and downs of love, finding love, losing it, and finding it again”.
Faysal Qureshi had announced that the film would star Aaminah Sheikh, Sonya Hussayn and Zahid Ahmed in a press conference in 2018. However, due to conflicting shooting schedules, Sonya Hussyn had to pull out of the film. She was subsequently replaced by Faryal Mahmood.
While the first spell of “Sorry: A Love Story” was completed in March of 2019, there have been no subsequent updates, until now.
Speaking to PakistaniCinema.Net, director Sohail Javed said that the second shooting spell will begin in March, 2020. This will be the final shooting spell for the film and it will be completely shot outside Pakistan.
The film has been a long-awaited comeback to cinema for Faysal Qureshi. According to the actor himself, he felt pressure from his fans to make a comeback, but wanted to opt for the right film.
“Sorry: A Love Story” is slated for release in the third quarter of 2020.
