Three local films released in cinemas this Eid-ul-Azha, out of which “London Nahi Jaunga” and “Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad” remained in demand throughout the extended Eid week while the third film “Lafangey” struggled at the box office. Here’s how these films performed over extended Eid week.
London Nahi Januga
The Humayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat and Kubra Khan starrer had been leading the box office charts, both in Pakistan as well as in overseas. In Pakistan, film has managed to mint 16.52 crore PKR till Sunday, crossing the 15 crore landmark over the extended Eid week of eight days. The Nadeem Baig directed has also passed the litmus test on Monday as film added another crore (98 lacs approximately), showing a fall of 40% compared to Friday collections. Film’s 9 days total aggregate is 17.5 crore PKR.
Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad
The Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan starrer also received a phenomenal response at ticket window as the film crossed 10 crore milestone in extended Eid week by raking in 10.4 crore PKR in eight days. Though Karachi remains super-strong, the film has witnessed its first major fall on Monday from Punjab as it managed to collect 50 lacs PKR. The total 9 days aggregate of this Nabeel Qureshi directed is 10.9 crore PKR.
Lafangey
The Sami Khan starrer horror-comedy suffered due to ban by CBFC at eleventh hour. The film later got the permission and had a nationwide release one day late and then struggled to get decent share of shows in front of in-demand giants like “London Nahi Jaunga”, “Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad” and “Thor: Love and Thunder”. According to the producers, the film has collected a total of 1.5 crore PKR over the extended Eid week.
