Yumna Zaidi’s debut film ‘Nayab’ has been released in cinemas across Pakistan, USA, Canada, UK, Denmark, Norway, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. The film has completed two weeks in theatres in Pakistan and one week in overseas. Here’s how the film has fared at global box office:
Domestic Box Office of ‘Nayab’
‘Nayab’ released in Pakistan on January 26 and as per Entertainment Pakistan, it has collected 67 lacs PKR over first week and an added 44 lacs PKR over second week. Although film opened to a slow start and has not picked up later, nevertheless, it has maintained a decent hold over the second week with a drop of 35%. Film’s domestic total is reported to be 1.11 crore PKR by the end of second week.
Overseas Box Office of ‘Nayab’
In Overseas, film was released on February 2, a week after its release in Pakistan. In North America, it has raked in $22,293 (62.42 lacs PKR) till Wednesday. The film also collected $2,287 (6.4 lacs PKR) from UAE and £6,634 (23 lacs PKR) from UK over the first weekend. The total of first weekend from these major markets stands at 91 lacs PKR. Film’s business from Norway, Denmark, Qatar, Behrain and Oman are yet to be reported.
Worldwide Box Office of ‘Nayab’
With 1.11 crore PKR from Pakistan in two weeks and 91 lacs PKR from overseas over first weekend, ‘Nayab’ has surpassed 2 crore PKR at global box office.
Film is running in third week in Pakistan and with arrival of Ayesha Omar starrer ‘Taxali Gate’ and Imran Abbas’s Indian Punjabi film ‘Jee Ve Sohneya Jee’ on coming Friday, the fourth weekend is going to be crucial for the film.
