Yumna Zaidi’s debut film ‘Nayab’ has collected 67 Lacs PKR in its first week. While it has done quite well in comparison to several previous month’s releases, it has unfortunately underperformed.
As per Entertainment Pakistan, ‘Nayab’ collected 46 Lacs in its opening weekend (Fri-Sun). Yet in the following 4 days, (Mon-Thu) it could only mint 21 Lacs more.
While Local releases continued unsuccessful box office streak, the Indonesian horror film ‘Sijjin’, centered on black magic, is having a great run at the Pakistan box office. It has collected over 2 Cr PKR in ticket sales and isn’t slowing down. This shows some potential for Indonesian films in Pakistan. Perhaps we can see more international releases from Indonesia from now on.
Nayab and Sijjin are both running in theaters now.
