Pakistani Cinema exclusively reported earlier in February this year that shoot of Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan starrer upcoming film “Love Guru” has begun in Karachi. We also exclusively shared an image of clapper board from film’s set.
Many naysayers were quick to write that Mahira Khan is not doing this project instead she is doing “Mirza Jatt” with the same production.
The truth still is that Mahira is doing both projects. While “Mirza Jatt” is still in the writing phase and Khalil-U-Rehman Qamar is yet to file the final script, the romantic comedy “Love Guru” is currently on floors these days in London.
A video featuring director Nadeem Baig and DOP Suleman Razzaq from the sets of the film was yesterday shared by “Kuch Ankahi” actor Abdullah Abid Malik and Humayun Saeed shared it on his instagram.
Our various sources confirmed that the team is shooting the second and major spell of the film these days in London. “Earlier they shot a few days spell in Karachi. The London spell will span over 27 days approximately. Mahira, who was here in London for HUM Awards, will also be joining for the London spell of the movie”, our source from London reported.
Not just this, Ramsha Khan and Ahmed Ali Butt have also joined the cast of “Love Guru”. Our source has confirmed that Ramsha, who just won award for her best on-screen chemistry with Ahad Raza Mir in “Hum Tum” at HUM Awards in London, is also a part of this project and will be seen in an extended cameo in the film.
Written by Vasay Chaudhry, the film is directed by Nadeem Baig and is produced under the banner of Six Sigma Films and ARY Films. It is expected to release in cinemas worldwide on Eid-ul-Azha 2025.
