Fahad Mustafa to Produce and Star in Two Upcoming Films

Fahad Mustafa, one of the most bankable names in Pakistani cinema, is gearing up for a major return to the big screen—this time not just as an actor but also as a producer.

Following the unprecedented success of his comeback TV serial ‘Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum’, fans are eager to see Fahad on-screen more often. The ‘NaMaloom Afraad’ star, who has been absent from films since his 2022 release ‘Quaid e Azam Zindabad’ and was last seen in a cameo in ‘Nabaligh Afraad’ (2024), recently confirmed his plans to produce and star in two film projects over the next two years.

In a candid interview with Hassan Choudhry on ARY Digital’s Eid special show, Fahad shared that both films are already in development. “I’m working on two films. One of them will release in 2026, and the other in 2027,” he revealed.

This marks a significant step for the actor, who is taking on the risk of investing in films at a time when the local industry is still regaining its footing. “I had to produce myself since no one else is producing films,” he said. “Someone had to do it, and Humayun and I are among the few who can take such risks.”

When asked about the possibility of appearing in ‘Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 3’, the actor said he hasn’t been approached yet but would be open to reprising his role. “If I’m offered, I’ll definitely do it because I enjoy working with the JPNA team.”

With two ambitious projects as producer in the pipeline, and the possibility of doing ‘JPNA3’, Fahad Mustafa seems poised to play a pivotal role in reviving mainstream Pakistani cinema.
