‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ Continues To Mint Money at Box Office Even 32 Weeks After Release

‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ is unstoppable at box office even 32 weeks after its release. The film maintains shows at all major multiplexes despite the release of many major Hollywood titles. Even the ‘Fast X’ failed to throw the local blockbuster out of the theatres more than 225 days after its release.

According to cinema trade analyst Ali Zain, the Bilal Lashari’s magnum opus has already crossed 115 crore PKR mark at domestic box office as it minted 115.02 crore PKR by the end of 32^nd week in Pakistan. In 2023 where not a single local release, not even any Eid film, has been able to hit 15 crore mark, ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ (2022) hitting 115 crore milestone is unbelievable.

Worldwide the film already became the first Pakistani feature to cross 10 Million USD landmark. The film was re-released in major overseas markets on April 21 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. The film stood at £1.48 Million (52 crores PKR) at UK box office after 28^th weekend. However, the exact overseas numbers for all the key markets after the re-release are awaited as of yet.
