It is quite unfortunate that false information in journalism is a regular phenomenon these days. People in the business don’t bother to confirm or crosscheck the authenticity of a particular news with the actual source. Recently social media was flooded with news by the entertainment portals and media houses stating that Shaan Shahid’s upcoming film will feature Humaima Malik, Mohib Mirza and Uzma Hassan. It was a bit difficult to digest this news as Shahid’s 2017’s film ‘Arth: The Destination’ featured the same cast.
So instead of paying heed to the rumor monger, we at Pakistani Cinema gave Shaan a call for details.
“Meera plays the antagonist in the film and she is also producing it. Humaima Malik, Nayyar Ejaz and veteran actor Nadeem Baig are other cast members of the film.”
About title of the film Shaan says: “As of now we have a working title but it will change in the later stages.” He further added, “Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has crooned and composed a song. While the rest of the music album is composed by Kamran and Sajid Ali.”
Shaan has been instrumental in the revival and growth of cinema in Pakistan. He has been the advocate of promoting Pakistani talent and resources to foster a sustainable cinematic landscape. A project helmed by the actor is always special; we are excited and eager for this one.
