Those who have been followers of PTV in late 90’s and early 20’s, must remember the husband wife duo Zulfiqar Sheikh and Tasmeena Sheikh who produced and appeared in dramas like “Des Pardes”, “The Castle: Ek Kahani”, and “Ansoo”. Their drama serials, due to different stories, slick production, foreign locations (not very common then) and unique execution were welcomed as a breath of fresh air.
Zulfiqar and and Tasmeena announced their comeback with a film titled “Succh” back in 2017, through which they planned to launch their daughter Elysee Sheikh. The project later got shelved but just few days ago we saw some behind the scene images of film’s shoot making rounds on internet, and that made us ask Mr. Zulfiqar about the project.
“It’s a family oriented film with romance, drama and thrill, a must watch specially for the masses.” said Zulfiqar while speaking to PakistaniCinema.

On script of the film Zulfiqar revealed, “I myself have penned the story and the screenplay is by Kumud Chowdery , dialogues have been penned by the legendary Haseena Moin and I think this is the best script I have worked on as of today”.

When film was announced, it was Danish Taimoor who was supposed to play the lead but then he lately got replaced by “Hijrat” star, Asad Zaman. On this cast replacement and delays in production, Zulfiqar answered, “The film was scheduled to be shot last year but my health deteriorated and I was not that fit to make the film then, hence it faced delays but we are completing it now. Also originally I had a partner from Pakistan who insisted on casting Danish, but as I am the sole producer now so I wanted an actor who fits the role and Asad is a perfect fit.”
