Box Office: ‘Doctor Strange’ and Eid Releases Together Generated a Good Turn Out This Weekend

 

Before the Eid euphoria could end at ticket window, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ released in Pakistan this Friday and added enormously to the weekend business. The overall cinema business of all local and Hollywood films over the weekend surpassed 11 crores PKR.

Marvel Studios’ latest offering ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, after taking away most of the shows from local films, remained the first choice of cinegoers over the weekend. According to Box Office Detail, it has generated a business of around 7 crore PKR in three days.

Ghabrana Nahi Hai

Saba Qamar, Zahid Hussain and Syed Jibran starrer “Ghabrana Nahi Hai” remained second choice at the ticket window over the weekend. Film has collected around 2 crore PKR over the weekend as it collected 74 lacs PKR on Friday, 64 lacs PKR on Saturday and 61 lacs PKR on Sunday. Film’s total of 6 days stands at 5.64 crore PKR.

Dum Mastam

Imran Ashraf and Amar Khan starrer “Dum Mastam” remained on third number at box office charts. The musical drama, according to Box Office Detail, has collected 1.2 crore PKR over the weekend. Film has so far raked in a little over 4 crore PKR during the period of six days.

Parde Mein Rehne Do

The Wajahat Rauf directed “Parde Mein Rehne Do” remained on 4th number on box office charts over the weekend. According to Box Office Detail, film has collected 60 lacs PKR over the weekend and it’s six days total stands at 2.5 crore PKR.

Chakkar

The Yasir Nawaz directed “Chakkar” suffered the most due to the release of ‘Doctor Strange 2’ as film was given the least shows at multiplexes and was taken down from one or two screen cineplexes. The murder-mystery has collected 40 lacs over the weekend, taking it’s six days total to 1.72 crore PKR which is lowest ever for a Yasir Nawaz’s film.
