Pakistani films which are currently on floors and making their way to release in 2019

With an extremely successful 2018 added to portfolio of burgeoning Pakistani cinema scene, we are keen to learn about what’s next in store for 2019. We have been updating you guys about the projects being announced and their expected release in 2019 and this article provides an account of movies that are currently on floors.

 

1) Baji :

One of the most talked about movies of 2019 is Saqib malik’s long awaited debut which is on floors already with pretty much of the principal cinematography done, and a few spells remaining here and there. The film’s star cast includes Meera Jee alongside Osman Khalid Butt, Ali Kazmi, Nisho Begum and Aamina Ilyas.

2) Paray Hut Love :

The Second directorial venture of Ho Man Jahan  famed director is currently being shot in Bahawalpur after completing the Turkey spell, with Shehreyar Munawar and “Non item girl” Maya Ali in the lead.

This Asim Raza’s film is locked for Eid ul Azha release.

3) Kaaf Kangana :

Khalil ur Rehman Qamar’s name needs no introduction when it comes to films ( Punjab nahi jaungi & Koi Tujh sa kahan ). The writer is donning director’s cap for the first time with this ISPR collaboration on a cross border love story with political undertones. After much changes in name of the ladies playing the lead, the film is currently on floors and making its way to be released early next year.

4) Untitled film of IRK productions :

Last but not the least the production house behind smash hit of 2016 Janaan and this year’s Parchi is back with their next. With Azfer Jafri as director, the film is already on floor somewhere in Islamabad, with its title yet to be decided. Cast of the film is kept under tight wraps but we promise to break it to our readers as soon as we get some hint.

All we hope is that the team creates same magic as they did in Jaanan and Siyaah.
