Once Upon a Time in Karachi: Here’s All You Need to Know About the Film

Mohsin Abbas Haider and Nousheen Shah were recently announced to be the leads in director Abu Aleeha’s next venture titled “Once Upon A Time In Karachi”. Pakistani Cinema reached out to director Abu Aleeha for more insight on the project. Here’s all he broke exclusively to Pakistani Cinema about the project.

Talking to Pakistani Cinema, the “Kataksha” director revealed full cast of the movie. Apart from Mohsin and Nousheen the movie will feature debutant Mahrukh Mirza as the second lead, and reknowned names like Marhoom Ahmed Bilal, Saleem Mairaj, Hina Dilpazeer, Ali Rizvi and Yasir Taj in supporting roles.

The film is all set to go on floors on 16th February and will be wrapped on 14th March in a single spell, with two songs to be shot later in April. The makers seem like having it all planned as according to Aleeha ”We are having an editor onboard who will be editing the film simultaneously so when the movie is wrapped, we will have the first edit ready in one week”

The script of the movie is penned by the talented Ali Moeen whose recent dramas like ”Bhool” and ”Jhooti” are generating great buzz. The cinematography will be done by Asad Mumtaz who served as DOP for Hamza Ali Abbasi starrer serial “Alif” which is currently airing on Geo Entertainment. Asad has so recently done cinematography for Faran Tahir’s flick “The Window”. Film is produced under the banner of Metro Live Movies.
