Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza’s next to star Bilal Abbas Khan and Sajal Aly

Hardly a year goes by without Filmwala Pictures making an announcement about their new film production – and without exception, the news ends up creating a few waves on its own.

After navigating through some rough waters vis-à-vis the release of “Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad, set to hit theaters this year, Filmwala has launched their next project. And it would be safe to say that this is not just another project.

Headlining their upcoming film, titled “Khel Khel Mein”, will be two of the most sought-after Pakistani actors. Bilal Abbas Khan, who became a household name after performances in television plays “Cheekh” and “Pyar Ke Sadqay” has been chosen to play the male lead and will be making his big-screen debut, whereas his female co-star will be none other than the very talented Sajal Aly, just back after shooting “What’s Love Got To Do With It” in the UK.

While Meerza is understandably keeping the plot under wraps for now, she did clarify that the film is “not a sports drama” upon our query. As to whether the khel in the film has to do with the game of hearts or not, we will have to wait and find out. For now, we know that Nabeel Qureshi will be directing and that the film will be a regular commercial fare with song and dance.

Actor Bilal Abbas Khan posted a shot of the film’s bound script on his Instagram account, stating in the caption: “Working with the finest producer/director duo in the country for the first time. Iss baar milte hain theatre mei.” The film is currently on floors, and no release date has been announced so far.
