After a hiatus, the NCOC has finally given a go-ahead for the reopening of cinemas subject to some terms and conditions.
The meeting decided that only vaccinated people will be allowed to enter the cinemas and the management of cinemas will ensure checking the vaccination certificate as a prerequisite for entry. Moreover, the operating time of the cinemas will be till 1 am.
The development came during an NCOC session, with Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar in the chair . Several other decisions were also made considering the current situation in light during the meeting which would later be reviewed on 27th July in accordance with the Covid graphs.
This comes as a welcome move for the movie makers , cinema owners and the cine fans who have been eagerly waiting to re-experience the magic of cinema.
