The Marvel Studios’ latest offering ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ released this Friday and took box office by storm, all over the world. Film took massive opening in North America, India and other markets and Pakistan is no exception .
According to box office detail, film has raked in 2.2 crore PKR on Friday. With this, film has become 6th biggest opener for a Hollywood release in Pakistan with ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ on 5th spot with 2.4 crore PKR.
The post-Covid season has not been good for Pakistani box office as most of the films released so far showed below average performance. Blame was being put on the post Covid situation saying that cine-goers were not yet ready to get back to cinemas. For same reasons, ‘Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad’ has been pushed further which was earlier expected to release on December 24. However, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ has proved all of this wrong; it has demonstrated that audiences are still willing to go to cinemas given a film of their interest.
