The Yasir Hussain and Ayesha Omar starrer ‘Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer’ was scheduled for release on December 24. Film has also been cleared by the Censor Board but the latest on the film, just few days before its announced release date, is that the film’s release has been delayed.
Talking to PakistaniCinema.Net, Umar Khitab Khan of Metro Live Movies (the distributor company for film) said, “Spider-Man is doing amazing business and the next release ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ is also expected to do good. Multiplex cinemas, on the hand, have not yet started to operate all of their screens and releasing our film in such situation would not let it get the adequate screen share that it deserves. We, therefore, in the best interest of our film and the cinema industry, have decided to delay the release.”
About the new release date, he said, “We will announce it shortly but it should be expected to release sometime in January.
