Jemima Khan’s film “What’s Love Got To Do With It” finally got its Pakistan release this Friday on March 3. The Sajal Aly starrer Hollywood production, however, takes a slow start at Pakistani box office.
According to trade analyst Ali Zain, the film has managed to collect only 21 lacs PKR from Pakistan over the opening weekend. The film couldn’t get a release in Rawalpindi, Islamabad circuit and that too added to the low box office gross, besides PSL fever.
The film appealed only to a niche audience, therefore in the whole Punjab, it could perform reasonably only at CUE cinemas, Lahore while in Sindh it performed significantly only at Nueplex cinemas.
