Exclusive: ‘Mango Jutt’ Postponed, Abu Aleeha Shares Update!

Abu Aleeha’s next feature ‘Mango Jutt’ was slated to release on Eid-ul-Azha 2024. The film has now been delayed and pushed further. We at Pakistani Cinema gave a royal snub to gossip mongers and gave Aleeha a call for details.

“We shot the first spell before Eid-ul-Fitr. The second is being currently shot in Nankana. The crew will be heading to shoot the final spell in Lahore. Fifty percent of the film is complete, we aim to close the camera by end of May. Additionally, there is a promotional song that we will shoot later”, Aleeha told Pakistani Cinema.

Commenting about the release date he said, “Once the edit is locked, the release date will be decided by the producer Hareem Farooq. The story is unique, we have shot it on diverse locales like Gwadar, Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore and Nankana.” 

“Mango Jutt” is a Punjabi action comedy film and according to Aleeha it is designed as a family entertainer for audiences’ of all ages, from a six-year-old to a sixty-year-old person. “It’s a slapstick and situational comedy tossed with romance, loaded with grand action with visually rich songs. The music album has six songs, another strong aspect of Mango Jutt’ is that it sans vulgarity and cheap comedy”, he added.

He concluded the conversation on a high note and said, “As the director, alongside lead actor Faysal and producer Hareem, we aren’t just content, but super happy and super excited about Mango Jutt. We simply can’t wait to show the film to the audience. Everyone will love and enjoy it.”
