Humayun Saeed’s ‘Love Guru’ beats Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull 5’ at the UK box office during its second weekend. Both films were released in the UK on June 6.
Although ‘Housefull 5’ initially secured the 12th spot on the UK box office chart with £230k, followed by ‘Love Guru’ at 14th spot with £129k, the tables turned in the second weekend. ‘Love Guru’ climbed to 13th spot with £75k, while ‘Housefull 5’ dropped to 15th spot with £56k.
On second weekend, ‘Housefull 5’ experienced a huge drop of 76%, whereas ‘Love Guru’ demonstrated a relatively strong hold with a 42% drop. After the second weekend, Love Guru’s nine-day total from UK market stands at £266k (over PKR 10 crore).
According to ARY Films, the overseas gross of ‘Love Guru’ after the second weekend totals at PKR 26.1 crore. And with PKR 29.2 crore from domestic market, film’s worldwide total has now surpassed PKR 55 crore.
