Pakistani Short Feature ‘Jamun Ka Darakht’ Selected for Cannes World Film Festival

Pakistani short film ‘Jamun Ka Darakht’ has been officially selected for Cannes World Film Festival. The announcement was made on Monday by producer and director of film, Rafay Rashdi with the release of a new poster.

Starring Adnan Siddiqui and Maha Tahirani in lead roles, the film is written by critically acclaimed writer of ‘Dar Si Jati Hai Sila’ and ‘Raqeeb Se’, Bee Gul, and is directed by Rafay Rashdi who made his directorial debut with feature film ‘Thora Jee Le’ in 2017 and has also produced “Badshah Begum” recently.

Trailer of the film released in January and the content promises to shed light on work place harassment and the importance of consent.
