Bangladeshi Horror Film ‘Mona: Jinn 2’ to Grace Pakistani Screens

It seems like every day a new international horror film is coming to Pakistan. The latest one to be gracing our screens is the Bangladeshi film “Mona: Jinn 2”.

The film is about a 12-year-old girl who is possessed by an evil Jinn. Starring Fazley Zakaria, Sajjad Hossain, Samina Bashar, and Sazzad Hossain, the film is ostensibly Bangladesh’s version of the exorcist; though every film that has a possession can be traced back to the 1973 classic.

After the success of the Indonesian horror film “Sijjin”, it seems like horror films from all over the world (specifically from the Muslim world) just got a green signal for the Pakistani market. If “Mona: Jinn 2” is a success, we can expect many more.

“Mona: Jinn 2” is slated to release on Friday, the 26th of April, 2024. Catch it in theaters all over Pakistan.
