Centered on Indo Pak Rivalry ‘Sherdil’ Trailer is Your Ticket to a Thrilling Experience

Ever since “Parwaz Hai Junoon” wooed us last Eidul Azha with its patriotic vibes and romantic glare, we have been looking forward to “Sherdil” the next offering on PAF

The official trailer of the film launched yesterday and it promises to be a thrilling experience. The story centers on a passionate Pakistani pilot, played by Meekal Zulfiqar in training, at the Pakistan Air Force Academy. The plot leads to an international flying competition between “Allied Partners”. There a rivalry is shown to develop between the character played by Meekal, and an Indian pilot named Arun Veerani.

The trailer features some reasonable special effects coupled with great visuals of forest covered mountains and a pretty blatant patriotic tone that will probably strike a chord with audiences because of existing tensions between Pakistan and India.

However beside weak dialogue delivery by Mikaal, what left a bad taste is the fact that Armeena Rana Khan has been noticeably absent from the film’s promotions and promotional material. She was not featured in the teaser, or the official poster and wasn’t given any lines in the official trailer. She was neither present at the trailer launch reason of this is up for speculation, but it definitely seems like Armeena Rana Khan has been sidelined from her own film.

Written and produced by Noman Khan, “Sherdil” is directed by Azfer Jafri and stars Meekal Zulfiqar, Armeena Rana Khan, Sabeeka Imam, and Hassan Niazi.

While “Parwaz Hai Junoon” proved to be a winner bagging alot more than what was expected out of it, it will be intresting to see how “Sherdil” fares at boxoffice.

“Sherdil” is scheduled to release in cinemas nationwide on March 22 by ARY Films
