EXCLUSIVE: All you need to know about ‘Talash’, a promising upcoming film

Revival of Pakistani cinema scene has encouraged many young filmmakers to venture into filmmaking. This being essential for any film industry around the globe, is a vital sign for the growth of this evolving film industry in Pakistan as with young minds come new ideas and openness to embark on the un-landed territories. One such effort is upcoming film titled Talash and here’s all you need to know about this promising project.

 

Produced by Zeekay films known for producing successful drama serials like Main Bushra, Talash is primarily a triangular love story with a strong subject in its sub layers, dealing with a serious issue of malnutrition in rural parts of the country. The film being directed by debutant film director Zeeshan Khan, aims to create awareness of better food choices and the ways to deal with this issue but all this in the subtle way with an engaging story and diverse characters. Film also has landed the support of health ministry, indicating that finally cinema in Pakistan is started to be considered as an effective medium to create awareness along with providing entertainment.

 

Cast of the film includes prominent names like Mustafa Qureshi, Adnan Shah Tipu, Salim Mairaj, Mumtaz Kanwal and Humaira Bano while young actors like Noaman Sami, Ahmed Zeb and Faria Hassan have bagged the lead roles in their big screen debut. According to our sources the film’s shoot is going to wrap up shortly and is ready to go into the post production stage. Now we sincerely hope the film turns out to be a better attempt than Thora Jee Le, the earlier film by a young team with new breed of actors.
